Espionage

Espionage is the act of obtaining secret or confidential information from individuals, organizations, or governments, typically for political, military, or commercial advantage. It involves the covert collection and analysis of data, often through deceptive means, to gain insights that are not publicly available. Espionage can include various practices such as spying, infiltration, codebreaking, and the use of informants. It is commonly associated with intelligence agencies and is considered a tool of statecraft, although it can also occur in corporate environments. The goal of espionage is usually to understand an adversary’s intentions, capabilities, or vulnerabilities while protecting one’s own secrets from being discovered.
