Blizzard

A blizzard is a severe weather condition characterized by strong winds, heavy snowfall, and low visibility. To qualify as a blizzard, the weather must have sustained winds of 35 mph (56 km/h) or greater, significant accumulation of snow, and visibility reduced to less than a quarter of a mile (400 meters) for at least three hours. Blizzards can result in dangerous travel conditions, isolated communities, and can pose health risks due to prolonged exposure to extreme cold. The combination of wind chill and low temperatures can lead to frostbite and hypothermia. Blizzards are a significant winter storm phenomenon and can occur in various regions around the world, notably in areas that experience cold winter climates.
