Tennis

Tennis is a racquet sport that is played individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). It is played on a rectangular court divided by a net, with the objective of hitting a lightweight ball over the net into the opponent’s court in such a way that they are unable to return it. Players score points by successfully landing the ball in designated areas of the court, and the game is played in sets, with each set consisting of games. The main format can be played on various surfaces, including grass, clay, and hard court, each affecting the play style and ball behavior. Tennis is governed by standardized rules established by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
