Human Rights

Human rights are the fundamental rights and freedoms that belong to every individual, regardless of nationality, sex, ethnicity, religion, or any other status. These rights are inherent to all human beings and are based on principles of dignity, equality, and mutual respect. Human rights encompass a wide range of protections and entitlements, including civil and political rights (such as the right to life, freedom of speech, and the right to a fair trial) as well as economic, social, and cultural rights (such as the right to work, education, and an adequate standard of living).

Human rights are often enshrined in law and international agreements, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations in 1948. They serve as a framework for protecting individuals from abuses and injustices by governments and institutions, aiming to ensure that every person can live with dignity and freedom. The promotion and protection of human rights are essential for fostering justice, equality, and peace in societies worldwide.
